Whenever I pick up a book nowadays, the male love interests always never come across as love interests - either there's a lack of chemistry, they are assholes, etc. Basically, I haven't come across a book in a VERY LONG TIME where the female protagonist is in a love triangle (or whatever shape) with male love interests that don't actually suck + good chemistry (not necessarily sexual).
